In 1899 the Curate of Turnham Green Church arranged matches for members of the choir, most of whom attended Latymer Upper School. This was the actual birth of the Club. The name Sutton Court was adopted and the Club grew during the period until the 1914-18 war into five sides all recruited from ex pupils of the School, with the 1st X1 playing in the Middlesex County League.

During this period the Club had difficulty in finding a ground and at one period all the sides were wandering sides with no home ground. The Club changed its name to Old Latymerians in 1922 followed by a move to the Duke of Argyll’s Estate in Whitton. In 1928 the Club, together with the cricket club, managed to raise the money to buy the ground where they have remained ever since. In the 1920’s the Club successfully competed in the Spartan League but in 1928 they joined the Southern Olympian League, winning the championship on two occasions before being elected to the Southern Amateur League in 1945 where they have remained ever since.

Invited to enter the Old Boys Cup in 1938-9, the Club won the Senior Cup at the first attempt and on several other occasions since then. The Club played in the senior Middlesex and London Cups from the 1920’s but in recent years have only compete in AFA competitions at all levels. Since the Club’ formation many members have won Blues at both Cambridge and Oxford and before the abolishment of the amateur status, several players were capped at International level, the last one in the 1960’s.

Today we have four teams competing at different levels, every Saturday throughout the season, in the Southern Amateur League and one Vets side for players over 35 that play in the West London Vets Football League.
